Means Opens New Japan Office

TOKYO, Japan—Friday, March 17, 2017—To become better positioned with Japanese transmission manufacturers, Means is proud to announce the opening of a new business development office called Means Japan G.K., located in Tokyo, Japan. 

Mr. Hideki Isetani, Director of Marketing and General Manager Japan, has been hired to lead the business development activities in Japan and South Korea.  

Mr. Isetani brings with him a broad base of experience in automotive and heavy truck. At Toyota, he was involved with the launch of the Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor. He also managed global engineering activity for General Motors, and led the development of UD Truck in Japan for Volvo.

“I am greatly honored to be joining the team, and am looking forward to expanding activities in Japan and South Korea. I hope that my Asian background and prior experience can help fulfill the company’s potential in our market”, said Mr. Isetani.

With over 25% of the world’s transmissions being produced in Japan and South Korea, this area of the world will continue to be a focus as Means further establishes a presence as an industry leading automotive supplier of advanced transmission components.
